Product Application

 

1. Sorbitol in daily chemical industry is used as excipient, humectant and antifreeze in toothpaste, and the addition amount can reach 25-30%, which can keep the paste lubricated, with good color and taste; it can be used as anti-drying agent in cosmetics (replacing Glycerin) can enhance the extensibility and lubricity of emulsifiers, and is suitable for long-term storage; sorbitan fatty acid esters and their ethylene oxide adducts have the advantage of less skin irritation and are widely used in the cosmetics industry.
2. In the food industry, adding sorbitol to food can prevent food from cracking and keep food fresh and soft. It has obvious effect when used in bread cakes. Sorbitol is less sweet than sucrose and cannot be used by some bacteria. It is an important raw material for the production of sugar-free candy and various anti-cavity foods.
3. In the chemical industry, sorbitol rosin resin is often used as a raw material for architectural coatings. It can be used as a plasticizer and lubricant in polyvinyl chloride resin and other polymers. It is complexed with iron, copper and aluminum ions in alkaline solution, and is used in bleaching and washing in the textile industry.
